Happy Thanksgiving!!  I'm so thankful for our good health, a loving family, a warm place to live, and many other things! Enjoying a relaxing day with my boys, then heading west tomorrow to spend the weekend with family! :)

Today I am thankful for a job that allows me to spend holiday vacations with my family!  So happy for a much needed break!

Today I am thankful for the individuals and organizations that helped to fund a project for my classroom.  My students will soon have access to a Nook for literacy & math centers!  I am so grateful to all who donated. :)

Today I'm thankful to the lady behind us in line at The Children's Place.  She gave me a coupon, and we saved almost $20. :)

 Today I'm thankful for a cozy bed to climb into every night.  It may seem like a small thing to be thankful for, but I know there are many who aren't as fortunate.

We're best friends, and I'm so thankful that God chose us to have each other.  :)

Today I am thankful for all of our veterans...past, present, and future.  

It is because of them we are free.

Thirty Days of Thankful - Day 10

Today it seemed like I really didn't have a whole lot to be thankful for as I woke up feeling awful.  I had a stressful week and planned my weekend around trying to pull things back together.  I had a list a mile long that included family time, taking our Christmas pictures, a haircut & open house at the spa, groceries, Target, hanging Christmas lights, getting my jewelry cleaned, catching up on laundry, and cleaning the house.  I guess someone had other plans for me, as I didn't leave our bedroom and bathroom until after 4:00 in the afternoon.  The only thing I did today was sleep and pray that I would feel better.  All those chores & errands?  I'll have to do some tomorrow and catch up in the evenings this week.  I'm thankful that I didn't have to take a day off work and that Dan & Daniel were home to help me and take care of Joel while I couldn't make my way out of bed.

Today I'm thankful for our jobs.
There are so many families struggling to make ends meet.

We are so fortunate to have jobs that support our needs.

Today I am thankful for all the caring parents who took time out of their day for parent-teacher conferences.  I am so blessed with involved families this year.  I could say more, but after working two 12-hour days, I'm ready for a break.  :)

Today I'm thankful for my dad.

He's a man of few words, but would do anything for his family.

Today I'm thankful for my mom.

I hope that one day I can give back what she's given to us.

Our boys are lucky to call her Grandma {Gee}.

Today I am thankful for our home.

In a world where there is so much homelessness as a result of natural disasters and poverty,

we are so fortunate to have a safe and warm place to live.

Thirty Days of Thankful - Day 4

Today I'm thankful for our church. 

 We have searched the world over to find a church that we love.

Last year, we finally ended up at the right place for us {thanks to some friends}.

And we love it.

The worship services are so full of life and joy.

The children's ministries are amazing.

This is the first time in so long that we all wake up on Sunday mornings excited to go to church.  

We {Americans} are so fortunate to live in a country where we're able to stand up for our beliefs.

I'm thankful for my blue-eyed curly haired blondie.

He has brought so much love and joy to our family.

His giggle is contagious, and his smile lights up the room :)
